The Full Story
It all started with my instax mini 90 and a black piece of tape. In order to take the cool double-exposure shots you see on our homepage, I took a strip of black tape and blocked off part of the camera lens. Later, I decided that while taping off part of the lens was inexpensive and practical, I wanted a filter that would last. I decided to design a filter that could replace the black tape, but I had to make sure it could easily be rotated 180 degrees for the second exposure shot. I also had to make sure the filter wouldn’t block any of the camera’s sensors. After some trial and error, I came up with the design for our splitzer.
Due to the enormous interest and response, I decided to design splitzers for other camera as well. Let us know what your camera is and we’ll design a splitzer for it!
